Iron or tiled roof?

When I was choosing a kit my wife wanted tiles, like the neighbours. Her friend all had tiles and she said they 'swore' by them. I asked her if they had ever had an iron roofed house. She didn't know. As I was owner building I thought I had a say so I took her around some of the new estates and showed her the newer colorbond setups with color coded everything and she started to come across. I knew I could build an iron roof but I'd need lots of help with a tiled setup. And it was twice the cost. So we built an iron roof and she loves it.
