On the up side!
Just a few positive words on behalf of Alternate Dwellings.
We have just completed a gorgeous Gippslander on the front half of our block for my mother as an independant persons unit. It is fantastic and we couldnt be happier.
Being completely ignorant to the building game and acting on behalf of my mother throughout, I was constantly questioning almost every step of the process! My queries were always really well received by all staff from the General Manager, building manager, office and sales staff and all the tradies!
It has been a long process of over 2 years involving nearly going to court at the beginning due to a misunderstanding and some finance issues. We were able to come to a mutual decision and alternate dwellings were very accomodating.
In the finish the entire build took less than 6 months and it is a very solid little house. It is a similar style to our existing house and complements it beautifully.
My experience has been really positive with the company. I have also learnt that if you like to call the shots more and know trades people than just go to lock up stage. That process was amazing and so fast.
We were told that it would slow down after lock up, which it did but the time frames were usually accurate even over the winter months.
I hope this alleviates some concerns for current and future customers that might be reading the bad reviews and begin to panic as I did early in the build!
Just speak to any of the staff there for reassurance during what can be a very stressful time whilst building.
Again, great company quality product.
